The Bachelor of Science in Media Studies and Journalism is a blend of practical and theoretical studies for the media practitioner. It combines the pertinent courses of both media studies and Journalism in a single, concentrated program of study. This BS degree teaches the skills and practices necessary for content production and distribution through various platforms.

Students will learn how to create effective media messages, the skills needed for insightful and meaningful reporting, the historical and social significance of both media and journalism systems, and online platforms for distributing their content. The student will learn how to work as thoughtful observers of their world and become proficient with the technical tools to disseminate their stories and messages.
